We were asked by a private landowner to build a large summer house that extended over a carp pond in the Coleshill area of the West Midlands. When we became involved in the project the foundations and slab had already been cast and the underfloor heating and plumbing for the carp pond had been installed. We engineered and constructed the walls, roof, and steels supports. We added a rubber roof with lantern which had to be craned into position. Once watertight, we insulated, plastered and decorated the interior and fitted a kitchen. We also managed and integrated the specialist transparent walkway and glazed balustrading over the carp pond.
